Best Venison Steak Recipes Ever. . .



“These are the best steaks we’ve ever eaten!” enthused Andrew, our oldest. “Yup”, I agree,” our 21 year old Matt chimed in. And I, the Dad, nodded approvingly, “I think so too. They’re so tender.” Rarely does our family agree on everything edible, but this time it was unanimous. So I asked my wife for the recipe. Here’s what she said.

Heat oven to 275° F.
Put steaks in large roaster pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add a little water to bottom of pan, but not enough to cover steaks.
Place steaks in oven.
Cook for about 3 hours or until tender.

The steaks my wife used were cut ¾ to one inch thick. (I cut them myself when I butchered the deer.) She put about 8 steaks in the pan. Simple, tasty and tender!
