Looking for Easy Ground Beef Recipes? Sloppy Joes In A Crockpot Leads the List

Looking for some easy ground beef recipes?

Sloppy Joes is an old time favorite. Any hamburger meat can be used, but the leaner the better. I always recommend using grassfed meat where possible because of the health benefits. As more research results are published, the public is becoming increasingly aware of how omega 3 in grass-fed beef and lamb protect the adult heart and aid in brain development, especially in children. Again, any hamburger or ground beef meat can be healthy, but grassfed is best!

Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

3 pounds ground beef, preferably from grass-fed beef
1-2 onions, chopped fine
2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 packages sloppy joes seasoning mix (about 1 1/4 ounces each)
Salt to taste

Procedure:

Brown the ground beef in a skillet or heavy frying pan. Pour off any fat. (Note: If you use grassfed beef there may be little or no fat.) Place all ingredients into crockpot. Stir, cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. (Or cook on high 3-4 hours.) Serve over hamburger buns.

Talk about an easy ground beef recipe? Of all the sloppy joes recipes, what could be easier?
