Steak, Pear and Walnut Salad

This dinner recipe for steak exudes health all the way. It's got to be one of the top sirloin steak recipes. Of all the ways to cook steak, I think it's well worth trying.

Ingredients:

2 sirloin steaks (preferably grassfed), cooked and cut into 1 inch strips
1 package (10 oz.) mixed salad greens
1 firm ripe pear, cut into 12 wedges
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/4 cup coarsely chopped toasted walnuts

Procedure:

In large bowl, combine steak, greens, pear, cheese and walnuts. Drizzle with dressing; toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.

Serves 4

*To toast walnuts, heat oven to 350° F. Spread walnuts in single layer in shallow baking pan. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden; stir twice. This grassfed sirloin steak recipe has been adapted from the National Cattleman’s Beef Association.

For many years our family raised and sold grassfed meat directly to health-conscious consumers. I know the industry from inside out. That's why I favor getting grass-fed meat --and other products-- from US Wellness. For quality and consistency, they can't be beat.
