Beef Chow Mien Recipes Add Crunch to Your Lunch

Add cashew nuts to beef chow mien recipes. You’ve just transformed ordinary hamburger into a treat most everyone will love.

Casserole Chow Mien Recipe


1 pound ground beef, preferably grassfed
1 small onion, chopped
½ green pepper, chopped
¾ cup celery, chopped
2 Tablespoons butter
1 can chicken rice soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 ½ soup cans water
Salt and pepper
Several drops soy sauce
1 8 ounce package chow mein noodles
Cashew nuts


Brown meat in skillet. Sauté onion, celery and green pepper in butter in another pan. Place in casserole adding soups, vegetables and water.

Season with salt, pepper and soy sauce. Bake uncovered in oven at 350° F for 1 hour. (The mixture is fairly thin.) Add noodles during last 15 minutes of baking. If dish becomes too dry, add water. Sprinkle cashew nuts on top.

Serves 8.

Mock Chow Mien Recipe


1 pound ground beef, preferably grassfed
1 onion
12 cup diced celery
Dash of pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cans water
1 cup raw rice
1 cup chow mien noodles
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
Cashew nuts


Brown the ground beef and onion in skillet. Then combine all ingredients in casserole dish and bake in oven for 1/14 hours at 350° F. Sprinkle cashew nuts on top and serve.

Chow mien recipes are good. Add cashew nuts. The extra crunch makes them even better.
