Venison cube steak is, in a general sense, steak tenderized by piercing, rolling or pounding. It enables tougher meat to become more edible and pleasant to eat. Pounding, rolling or piercing breaks down the connective fibers that make the meat tough. Venison cube steak should be tender enough to be cut with a fork.

Easy Venison Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

4-5 venison steaks, cut about ¾ inch thick
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
flour

Procedure:

Place venison steaks on hard surface or cutting board. Pound vigorously with meat mallet or other hard object. Pour flour into paper or plastic sack. Place steaks in sack and shake until meat is covered with flour.

In heavy skillet heat oil and butter. Add garlic. Add steaks and cook 5-7 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Serve immediately with or without sauce of your choice.
